I spent around 1100 Euros on a build back then. I thought it was stupidly expensive at the time but it was fairly close to a top-tier system. It had a i7 6700k, a GTX1080 and 32GBs of RAM. I just replaced it at the beginning of last year (thank god for the timing) and gave the parts to a friend who still uses it every day. The 1100 Euros turned out to be an insane value after all.
