More that lifts haven’t gotten larger (floorspace) as people have become increasingly round, like the walking fucking parodies they are.
Not a problem then. An obese person takes up more floor space, so less people can fit on a lift. Limiting the realistic load it has to carry.
But think of how this discriminates against those poor butter golems. Taking up the space 4 normal people could fit in hurts their feefees. If lifts were bigger they wouldn’t fill half of them single handedly, see?
