Speaking strictly as a gnostic atheist here, painting every Christian with the same brush is a logical fallacy. Plenty of Christians are using their religion as a reason to do everything they can to fight back against this asshat.
But the ‘not every’ argument gets really tired for valid reasons. And the fact that he’s used their theological identity to cultivate his support still points to how easily corrupted it is.
Unfortunately, majority of Christians are evangelical and overwhelmingly support Trump, so it is a generally accurate statement
