Telesat Canada launches in October, 2026. The big problem is they are using SpaceX to launch.
French Eutelsat has OneWeb, which is in orbit already.
For those who didn’t read the article, IRIS 2 is for governments, not for individual users. So you can’t compare it with Starlink.
IRIS2 is expected to consist of 290 satellites in low and middle Earth orbit, compared to more than 10,000 active Starlink satellites currently in low orbit, operated by Musk’s US-based SpaceX.
