Yes but only if the threat is urgent and there are no other ways to protect your life. I would argue there are ways and self-defense is explicitly not self-judicial. If you are cornered and fighting for your life while someone is trying to kill you thats a whole different circumstance.
The ongoing and systematic denial of life-saving and necessary care to people in favor of profit, especially since those who are contracted to provide care just
politically donatebribe their way into setting things up so care is denied isn’t urgent? Seems like fighting the systematic early-extermination of workers has some similarities to the resistance networks that fought the Nazis. Not a 1:1 overlap, but there seem to be similarities.I believe your representatives could do something if people started voting in their best interest. And class action lawsuits also have existed for a while. Justice is tedious. Not everyone has equal resources I acknowledge that. A basic social safety net in a first world country should be the standard. Even if you can’t pay insurance the public hand should help you when you’re down. Many first-world countries already do this. A CEO is just one cog in a machine. Kill him which hurts his family and friends, and they will be replaced. The issue is systematic. CEOs aren’t the one to blame, the laws and political system are. People need to organize and not wait for one individual with vengeance to take out CEOs. If a CEO doesn’t perform shareholders replace them. Pure capitalism is fucked which is why many Scandinavian and western European countries combine it with social policies. Demonizing anything so called “communistic” because it improves peoples lives just because it takes the best aspects of socialism and combines it with capitalism is the problem. The general populous in the US is too conservative and resistant to change. And the example I was giving is legal for situations where you fight against an aggressor for your life. Even if I had cancer and UHC denied to give me healthcare treatment killing the CEO wouldn’t immediately resolve my issues with denials. The policies applied are horrible but that doesn’t justify murder. You can argue with systematic mass-murder and I understand the concern but the whole system is the problem. I hope bad publicity deters anyone from going with their healthcare plans plans now. My point also wasn’t meant to discuss Luigi Magione and the murder of UHC CEO Bryan Thompson but more related to AI CEOs
Both parties are bought and paid for by the same plutocrats.
The United States is a third world shithole that mascarades as first world (see bribes as previously mentioned).
Mandami shows that to be untrue. The Epstein class has merely kept the political system from ensuring the wellbeing of the population (see bribes above).
Maybe. Maybe it’ll change the calculation to make it too expensive to deny people care/living wages (See Paper Mario).
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” -Kennedy

NYC populous is not the average voting population tho. The US party system is broken in a way it only allows for two parties to emerge. I think primaries allow for a more granular choice for the average person tho. The Kennedy quote is true, but I’m not giving up that peaceful change is impossible.
They’re essentially defending social darwinism and social murder. This person’s mind is fully cooked.
No that is not what I was saying. I’m saying the system is broken and the root cause. Fix the problem by changing the system, not by murdering random individuals that are part of the current system. That only causes more pain and suffering
What do you think people have been trying to do to reach the point of turning to violence.
You think that was their first option? You think its so easy then you go out there and put your money where your mouth is. I wana see you get clubbed in the head by a cop, or shot with rubber bullets point blank and pepper sprayed in the eyes. Go ahead tell me how that works out. You’re a useless idiot.
The individuals causing the issue IS the system. This is how it’s always supposed to work, there is always a populace business people need to subjugate. Through history. Stop thinking the system is broken and needs fixing. It needs tearing out with all the horrible people in it.
