Heat now kills three times more Europeans than roads. A heat pump is a two-way air conditioner: cooling in July, heating in January, no imported gas.

I’m curious how this would prevent the need for importing gas to generate the electricity. None of my heat pumps run exclusively on wind and hydropower.
