Knowing the history of the fortune cookie, an American invention made by immigrants in California based on a cookie originating in the Islamic Republic of Japan, the message I got from this ad is that this moron is going to crush American innovation and leave China unfazed.

this moron is going to crush American innovation and leave China unfazed.

If millions of people are going to vote for the crumbled cookie lady in her anti-China jihad, it’s the best outcome we could hope for.

The fortune cookie thing is bait meant to give the media something to clutch their pearls over while Trump and his cronies (Blackburn notable among them) take bribes to grease the wheels for corporate “investment” by anyone who cares to bribe them (cough EA cough).

Liberals wag their heads at Blackburn being an ass, again, and conservatives wag their heads at Huffpo being hysterical, again, and soon we all move on to the next dog and pony show.

    She knows her market.

The most exposure most of them will have had to “Communist China” is the fact that the American restaurants they go to which serve fortune cookies say “Chinese” somewhere on the menu. That’s it.
