The layoffs at one of your studios most able to ship games is a bonkers, stupid decision; but pivoting Obsidian to making a new Fallout game is a good business decision if you don’t care about what your creatives feel led to create.

Wasn’t it already? Apart from new vegas, all fps fallout games are basically mediocre crap with boring non memorable stories.

Who remembers what was the main mission fallout 2 and fallout 3? Who remembers who is yes man and the stupid butler robot from 4?

One and two are totally different games. And are amazing.

3 is probably my favorite (but only because it is first person), new Vegas is ok.

4 is where mediocre shows up and 76 is where it just doesn’t matter anymore.

The tv show is fun though.

Fallout 2 wasn’t first person. Lots of people remember who Yes Man was, as that was from New Vegas which you suggested was good. Do you want to go back and rewrite this?

I haven’t played anything before 3… I enjoyed 3 because it was my intro to the series, it was far from perfect in a good sort of way. 76 has given me a lot of mixed feelings through its life… fo4 was good for like 1 play through but I can’t bring myself to try it again… new Vegas was amazing, but obsidian isn’t even the same company or people anymore. Judging by obsidians latest releases, if the new fallout is anything like them, I’m gonna be sad af.
