We are so used to suck up to USA we’ve forgotten how not to.
The original purchase of F-35 under Obama was exactly the same, and that pissed me off too, Not because of Obama, but because the whole thing was so obviously corrupt.

It was only later that I discovered that Obama was actually pretty bad too.

I mean, I completely agree with you, but why “of all countries”? Why specifically Denmark? Is there some history?

        1. Boeing is a US company
        2. The US is talking about annexing Greenland
        3. Greenland is a part of the Kingdom of Denmark
        4. Buying from Boeing puts money/taxes into the bank of the people who threaten Denmark

Oh ok thanks. I thought there was something more concrete, but yeah, that Greenland business should be reason enough; otoh Denmark (and Greenland too) have already been way too pro-US in those negotiations.

More concrete than threatening to invade?

Denmark (and Greenland too) have already been way too pro-US in those negotiations.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about, there are no negotiations, because USA has gotten a very direct and loud NO from both governments, and in Greenland there was a huge protest against representatives from USA, and in Denmark too there was a huge protest in support of Greenland.
The Danish prime minister has stated clearly and directly to Trump, that it’s not up for neither negotiation nor debate.

Whoa, hold your horses! I do have some idea.

Of course DK did not just hand over all of Greenland, but in his artlessness of the deal, Trump simply aimed unrealistically high, and in the end still got some extra concessions out of it. That’s what I’m talking about: there was no reason to accomodate him at all. WRT military and iirc business interest in some areas of Greenland.

                And what concessions is that?
USA has been allowed to have as many bases on Greenland they want since the 50’s. But have reduced them from 5 during the cold war to now only 1. But nothing has stopped USA from having more bases at any point.
Trump has not been “accommodated” in any way. What part of there have been no negotiations on the issue is it you don’t understand?
