Is $1.4 trillion a reasonable amount for these cases? Who knows.
Is it reasonable compensation for all the evil they’ve done? I’d argue yes.
It’s essentially their entire market capitalization as a penalty.
This fee is very impactful. If they are going to pay it.
How do you think users will pay for it?
IF they are going to pay…and at once, not 5937292 installments of 29,99.
Users will pay in the end like they always do: higher prices, less offerings, shittier products etc. Or another 1k employees get fired. Or 2k. Whatever happens, no billionaire ever will actually pay something themselves. They can even fuck kids and get away with it. See the USA and others…
In this case I hope for less offerings and a shittier product.
