Is $1.4 trillion a reasonable amount for these cases? Who knows.
Is it reasonable compensation for all the evil they’ve done? I’d argue yes.
It’s essentially their entire market capitalization as a penalty.
They won’t ever get fined that much. Sensationalist and completely detached from reality article.
Even if they do they’ll never have to pay it, and even if they pay some absolutely none will go to those who are supposed to be the victims.
That’s not how civil cases work.
