I feel like we’ve been going so long now with this being the norm (over a decade at this point), that I think there are a whole lot of young people who literally do not know any different.
They aren’t old enough to remember what things were like before Trump took over every news cycle for the past 10+ years. Before the constant bombardment of awfulness and the existential dread that follows.
This is not normal. You need to know that this is not normal, and that things do not need to be this way.
