House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) says New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is going to have to smooth things over with congressional Democrats after backing several progressive candidates who ousted incumbents during Tuesday’s primary elections.

Asked if Mamdani’s endorsements were making him “enemies” with Democrats in Washington, D.C., Jeffries told CNN that he and Mamdani “strongly” disagreed over his primary picks ahead of Election Day.

Now, according to Jeffries, the mayor has serious “work to do in terms of the conversations that he’s going to have with members of Congress moving forward.”

      They work for us.

The only power they have is because we LET them have it.

Most of them need to be reminded. Very very much.

The absolute best thing that could happen to the Democratic Party would be for Mamdani to become the Boogeyman, the new Pelosi or Hillary Clinton.

He needs to be the one person that Fox News slanders daily, who every Republican child grows up learning to reflexively identify as the Liberal Villain.

Whe? Because he’s a man and having a man as that target instead of a woman (AOC etc) should be worth 3-4 points in every election. We use their sexism against them, and we use his religion to honey-pot these fascist halfwits into making Mamdani the public face of the party.

So yeah, this fight with Jeffries? HUGE WIN for Mamdani. He probably gained more power today than he gained when he took office.

I don’t want a new pelosi or hillary or kamala. Those 3 are the same people. Give me AOC, Michelle Obama, Crockett…

That’s because you’ve missed my point entirely.

The point is that there is always someone who the right treats as the EVIL LIBERAL STEPQUEEN. Regardless of her politics, that’s what they do.

Having a man in that role lessens the effect, so it’d be good if we do that.

This has nothing to do with anyone’s left-liberal-moderate politics and everything to do with the vast, right-wing propaganda machine that we have to work around.
