Must have been another instance. Lemmy.ml is not shutting down.
Are you sure it was not lemm.ee? That one shut down like a year ago. Other smaller instances have likewise shut down since. But Lemmy.ml is one of the oldest instances and extremely unlikely to ever be shut down.
