I’ve used a Framework Ethernet card with my phone to give mobile data to my router when my home internet went down.
Plug the phone directly into your laptop using USB. Reject RJ45. Embrace UART.
Many routers also support this, I did this with my Mikrotik Hex S.
Faster than using the hotspot as well
