      Yes, just like the auto industry in the United States. The only difference is that the state also directs their companies to do good things rather than just bailing them out.

        I wasn’t asking about the United States, I don’t live in that shithole country. I was asking about China. The meme suggests that China does nothing for their auto industry. That is false.

          It was a point of comparison. I’m coming back to Lemmy from a long bout of using Instagram and the meme I posted is just a common reaction image to news about China. I didn’t mean to offend, sorry.
