Such a quick turn around in again showing how Democrats are literally worthless.

    This would still be open to the same kind of corruption. The drafted leaders could be bribed to vote a certain way. Direct democracy would be the most resistant form of government to eventual oligarchy. Another possibility could be that the citizens of a democratic society could be limited as to how much wealth they could own.

      Direct democracy, the power of immediate recall and punishing corruption - like, stripping them of their wealth and jail time, while only being entitled to publicly-appointed defenders. Publicly-funded elections and ranked choice voting would go a long way, too. They’d also have to sacrifice or at least fully disclose any financial outside interests they have before and after getting elected.

      I would actually be in favor of paying elected public servants more, if they’re forbidden from having conflicting outside financial interests.
