      Most Indians are right wingers based on what data? According to Carnegie’s 2024 Indian American Attitudes Survey (IAAS) 60% of Indian Americans intended to vote for Harris and 30% for Trump. There is no granular post election data at this demographic level, only for Asians in general, but this is skewed towards democrat more than almost any other minority group, most of which were closer to a 50-50 split this election.

          Modi won 36% of the popular vote. Trump won 49.8% in comparison.

          If we look at population data as a whole, 17% of Indians voted for Modi and 23% of Americans voted for Trump.

          Living in America, I don’t feel that most Americans support Trump. I’m not sure how we can say most Indians support Modi when an even lower percentage of the population voted for him.
