He got, what, around 22% of the population voting for him to elect him? Approximately 1/5 of the population being impressed by wildly racist antics makes complete sense.

There’s plenty of people still alive out there who are old enough to throw rocks at black kids trying to enter schools or scream at others for sitting down and soda fountains.
