    The fact that boomer shooters and low-poly indie games are seeing a surge in popularity is proof that chasing high-fidelity graphics is a fool’s errand.

    2011 Battlefield 3 was huge in the graphics departament, and it ran tolerably well on my Geforce GTX 460.

    The diminishing returns is just something we LOVE as a humanity, otherwise we wouldn’t have to pay 5 digits for the AI and gaming hardware.

    That sounds like a good year for that. Modern AAA games are judged by how hard the benchmark is to hit, not whether it looks good.
