These media articles all contradict each other…Toyota losing sales and going broke, or Toyota is number one in worldwide sales.

EVs make huge sense in Europe, and they are now the least expensive options. Not sure if this is about EV revolution or affordability in a region where petrol is expensive. Right now, petrol in EU is €1.72, whereas it’s €0.95 in Canada, and less in the US.

So even for low range driver @10,000km/yr, they save €2,000/yr in a small car, or a free car in 15 years. Europeans do this math, North Americans do not.

But as the market share leaps up on EVs, passing EV only laws in cities will be trivial.
