For posts list I use mark as read as my primary gesture and bookmark (save) as my second one.

Mark as read works as expected: when triggered on an already read post it marks it as unread. The same doesn’t happen for bookmark action. If a post is saved, swiping again does nothing.

In a way bookmark gesture really do what it said. Yet making it to toggle save state the same as mark as read do would be nice.
