The Eiffel Tower was forced to close on Monday after staff went on strike to protest the “sidelining” and “replacement” of female employees during a recent visit by a Hindu delegation. The Paris landmark’s operator said the group had requested that the private visit be organised in such a way as to limit “interactions with women”.
Good for them. Strike ahead!
They were tourists - they need to accept the local customs not the other way around.
