If you’re going to get expensive hardware and be digital only, might as well go PC while you can. The money you save not having to pay PS Plus to play with friends would add up quick. Not to mention open source, privacy respecting options, no need to be online, modding, more welcoming communities, emulation, etc. If you want a console experience, you can use something like Bazzite or SteamOS.

    You could always get a steam machine or any variation of that like a dedicated pc hooked up to your tv.

      Heck, even using a Steam Deck as a dedicated console would get you really far until you start playing AAA stuff. Even farther if you have a tolerance for dropping detail on things like anti-aliasing and dynamic shadows!
