It’s all good. I have no reason to stay mad at someone admitting fault and apologising. I hope you guys can improve your situation so that you don’t have to feel this scared and angry so constantly. My answer was in the context of the many comment on here about the difficulty of organising a general strike in America, and so I recommended for people to first gauge the level of awareness of the people closest to them on the severity of the situation and whether they have thought about participating in a general strike.

Only with that knowledge would you know what the problem you’re dealing with, at least within your local circle, and what method you need to raise their awareness to your level. That’s all my point was.

You people have plenty of independent media that aren’t corporate owned and part of the embargo. What is it that is so hard for you to understand that if none of the protests you mentioned is enough to gain the attention of your independent media, that means the movement is hopelessly small and require some ass kicking to get into gear instead of the coddling you’re trying to do now? I think YOU’RE very dumb because you don’t seem to realise that when it’s too late, there is no turning back until some actual bloody revolution is performed, and that requires even more sacrifice than what you’re unwilling to do even now.

Have you tried talking with your friends and family about the possibility or necessity of doing a general strike and hurt the ruling class right in their wallet? I think that’s the first step. You can figure out everything else after.

I think what you’re doing by claiming there are protests everywhere but not having any source to produce is trying to make Americans think the situation is not as bad as it might be so that they get complacent and not fight back. Again, nobody was arguing that you should have already overthrown the government, but people are expecting there to be protests that would not be so easily covered up by this point. This should not be construed as criticism on the people who are already doing something, but as a criticism of America’s society as a whole that is so resistant to fighting tyranny despite the efforts of the ones already fighting.

Finally, some sources I can check. That’s all you need to do to prove me wrong, given that it does show what you claimed.

Edit: Unfortunately, the first link only shows a few people outside an ICE facility where one of them is being attacked. These guys are doing good, but where are the rest of the community? This just seems to confirm my fears, that the efforts from the ones fighting are not being echoed by their community.

Do you guys really have no independent media that are reporting on the stuff you’re saying is happening like the protests in the second link? Are these stuffs even being reported here on the Fediverse? If so, where can I find them?

I said I don’t receive any news of any protests through my algorithm. Just provide a few sources for your claims and you can prove me wrong just fine without trying to insult people or looking down on them.

I keep seeing people say there are constant protests but no one has actually given me a source until now. You could pull your head out of your ass and make a more productive comment than ones that attempt to antagonize people that doesn’t want you guys to fall to a fascist government but are just a bit ignorant about your efforts.

And no, I’m not a British person nor live anywhere near the UK, yet I hear the about protests in Britain in their independent media, but not the ones in America from the independent American media I watch. It either means the algorithm is hiding it from me or your independent media doesn’t do a good job at spreading the news.

That part is me engaging the other person on what to do behind the scenes. The part about things in the news would be things like general strikes and such. Obviously, those things you quoted wouldn’t be, and shouldn’t be, on the news to be effective against a tyrannical government.

To move the needle amongst the least politically engaged, yes, those things are very valuable. I know your position is that anyone ignorant of politics are just as bad as the Republicans, so I get why you don’t think you need to make your actions visible to engage these people, but reality doesn’t really reflect that.
