Frankly I’ve never liked the idea of guilds. Why do I need to be tied to one group? I’d prefer to come and go among different ones as I see fit.

Honestly that’s the sweetest part of it. They run to mommy, gets reinstated like it’ll mean something and then promptly get their asses handed to them. And there’s no room to complain “well we didn’t have X player because of Y”.
They were all there, you had your full team, you still got owned.
From an American: Thank you Belgium. I wanted Mexico to go all the way so Trump had to present the trophy to a Mexican, but not having the US make it is another good consolation.

“…not doomed…” — oh? Maybe there is a chance
“…congress can…” — nope, we’re doomed.

Probably do something stupid like individual bit fields for every possibility instead of a bit string. Or having it i a json wrapper for every single variable and combination, without any compression.
Thoguh save states in general grow more complicated as games become more complicated too. Think about early games, all you needed to track was… what level you were on, number of lives, and maybe a list of weapons.
Now you need things like the time of day in game, the weather, what interactions with other npcs you’ve had, multiple stats on every character in your party including customized outfits and accessories, etc. and just like the games themselves, they’re probably not using pointers but actual data too sometimes, which sucks.

Dear lord Obama truly does live rent free in his head. And we know stuff like this only gets posted when he finally loses, what little, self control he has, so I can only imagine what else he keeps thinking and how often. He seriously is tortured by it (and I love that thought at least)
The other thing I was thinking is that a swinging object (vine, what have you) will, even for the briefest, infinitesimal moment, form a perfect 90 degree angle to the tree branch.
Even if it’s DRM free, it completely kills the resale market. Good luck finding something for any game going forward at a discount or being able to make back any of your money off of it when you’re done playing.
And yes, we know the natural conclusion from both sides as a result of this: more people will pirate, and prices will stay high, and only one of those two groups will have the leverage of the government and police.

I said this in another thread but I truly believe one of the biggest reasons behind restricting mail in voting, early voting and polling locations will be to have ICE raid voting locations on Election Day in strong democratic areas.

I hated the moment Netflix started doing that, especially for titles it used to have. “Oh, we know what you’re looking for, but sucks to be you. Here’s what you can watch”
You need to learn yourself some molecular geometry. An octahedral molecule forms a perfect right angle due to its bonds. Sulfur Hexafloride (SF6) is one of those molecules. So yes, nature makes perfect right angles.

The idea of the “Great American State Fair” and the fact we were hitting 250, sounded like it’d be a great way to celebrate. I read about some of the original plans and what the Smithsonian was working on and it really felt like a tribute to us, the people.
But now, I’ve had zero desire to celebrate anything that’s been going on, and it’s just felt like a damper on everything. What about the US is there to celebrate? I know people can say “well, acktually, compared to Burma….”, but that’s not the point. I also know we weren’t at the top, but we’ve fallen so far, so quickly.

The problem is, most people can only afford one vehicle (per adult, sometimes household) as such, they shop for something that will meet their edge cases and not their “90% of the times” cars. Annoyingly is also why you see hesitation for EVs.
Rather than saying “I can just rent a truck for the 1 day a year I need haul something” (and most likely would be cheaper), they think “well what if I need to haul something? Then what?”
Not saying that’s right, but edge cases are usually what drives their decisions.
They want info on VPN users specifically.
