WW1 was free for all between empires. WW2 you can talk about allies.

Europe is a colonial subject at least since middle east wars started. Some would even argue that its ever since end of WW2, but I’m not so sure of that.
The problem didn’t start with current admin, its just more pronounced now.
One counter argument to colonialism is that many genuinely believed in liberal world order. Some stil do.

But have we solved solar + heat pumps in the winter problem? Hydrogen sounds logical but its not the hot thing right now.
Edit: I obviously wasn’t clear. I meant operating heat pumps if main el. source is solar. I’m well aware of suitability of heatpumps.

No one has surrendered anything
Previous mantra was unified diplomatic isolation. So that strategy was esentially surrendered.
Now we have two countries going solo realpolitik.
I’m not saying its necessary a bad development but its certainly a break from previous line.
On desktop systemd is only now getting used for user services. I don’t care that much about it either, but am not a sysadmin.
One annoyance is long shutdown because of systemd or maybe thats youre holding it wrong type of problem…

AI feels at home in Bash. Corporate office work is mouse shoveling and email back and forth. Its a long way to get there.

Good to see Vucic go! Will be interesting to see where this goes. Vucic leaned hard on nationalism, probably this is an end of that.
Unix is dead. Everyone ships RESTful services + web UI. Underlying platform doesn’t make a difference. You could ship it on Windows server and no one would notice.

Errors when trying to sort by year for example. Or having to try multiple times clicking on a link to get there. Other attempts being an error. And these were nice site errors so the connection is there but server is returning gibberish.
Yes of course. But during WW1 alliances really weren’t stable when you look at a bigger picture. It was much more opportunistic than ww2. Germany vs Austria, Austria vs Ottomans, British Empire vs Russia, British vs French.
Latter we had this more homogeneous allied block.
