Good luck Bethesda, even Obsidian has hit an 18 carat run of bad luck. I guess they’ll stay afloat due to casual players and the fact that its an elderschrolls game. But count me the fuck out on getting es6, that shit will need to be fucking amazing for me to pay the AAA price it will inevitability be, and I mean AMAZING cause after fallout 4 I’ve been disappointed with them. God I wanna be wrong Tod, PLEASE TOD PROVE ME WRONG 😭 <p>Edit: meant es6 not es7

While at the end of the day, valve is a company that only wants your money, steam does have DRM free games

I remember handing a younger sibling my copy of Dragon Quest 9 when I was about 12-14, it was maybe the earliest memory of me truly understanding the joy of giving someone something I felt was special. I wanted them to get a bit of the magic I got from the adventures that game took me on. I would be so overjoyed when they would update me on their play through, remembering parts that stuck out to me, hearing parts they loved that I had forgotten about. Sure you can absolutely still experience that joy of giving a gift, my friend group buys steam games for each other all the time. But that was my 1 copy of the game (at the time), I remember them hesitating cause they knew how much I loved it. And I think that made the game mean more to them.

There are a surprising amount of DRM free games on steam, is valve perfect? Fuck no, at the end of the day they are a company that only want money, and as much as they made my favorite games from my childhood, they did have a gigantic hand in normalizing loot crates. But with that list in combination with my GOG library, if I back up the install files I’m golden.

My dumbass did not see what sub this was and my heart SANK lmao
No, but they support MAC now. I had a little reactionary chuckle reading that. I know the Apple arm chipsets have been really good, and most games from gog are not very demanding, its just funny to me that historically Mac has not been known for gaming and they get support before Linux. Shout out to the Heroic Launcher Team.
