I would have run out of games to post about by like day 21

HGSS are objectively the zenith of pokemon and I will die on that hill.

Exactly

Honestly I might justvwait until I can maybe build like a miniPC for jellyfin and put linux on that one to start learning then. Might be easier

Well…sure but there’s people who reviee coolers with a decibel reader so they can equalize noise level when testing.

Imo though air cooling is still louder than water cooling. I have both and while i appreciate thaf air colling is great too today and probably peace of mind, but a nice rgb liquid aio is also not expensive these days…specially compared to what the other PC parts cost now…

So…I’m not a noob to computers, I run my own jellyfin server, minecraft server, I almost had a comp sci minor in college, but I’ve just been so in the windows ecosystem that I don’t really know what applies for linux and rather than act like I “know computers” I’ll be honest, linux is something I know nothing about, windows I can do basically all my troubleshooting on my own+internet access

I’m not doubting a usb is better, i uaed those to install windows in basically every PC I’ve built for me or friends. But…usually I am borrowing other ppls. Now I work seasonal jobs and don’t have a permanent home so…can’t really quickly access a store if I’m in the middle of nowhere in a national park

Well…technically GB =/= quality.

Different compressions will affext quality and aize differently.

But I guess “on average” more GB is gonna be better. So if it’s like 100GB vs 5GB yeah there will be a big difference.

A 10-15GB x265 and a 20-25gb x264? Less obvious answer.

Basically just start getting stuff and eventually you’ll see what you like more.

I hate banding and want every pimple on the actor visible so for me if I like a movie it’s remux central

But US high-tech devices are not? God we are such a vassal-state of the US.

Right now we would be better off from stopping US and using cheaper chinese goods, while using the differwnce to inveat into real homebrewed technological innovation.

Instead we continue as a vassal of the US so that American billionairea can keep siphoning off our consumers.

Yeah this, there’s cpu coolers for half the price that cool better now.

The fifa gamea for example cause of EA and god awful drm/support. I don’t pay for them, not that i suggest not paying, but at least for free I think the games are worth it. For $70+ no way but on linux free isn’t even an option either

That’s not what is being asked. OP put right in the post “afterlife” as in. Nobody is copying you into a PC. The post assumes that an eternal afterlifr exists, and in that scenario (which is possible, we simply do not know) would you choose a game to lice in. Like if heaven/hell were minecraft, would that be something you would want?

That’s it. It’s not about uploading our minds in our current alive world.

Dune: Awakening, doing singleplayer because I have nobody to play online servers eoth and enjoying it a lot

Oh no, I was so gonna buy one for $4000+ /s

Wouldn’t be an issue if they didn’t discontinue so many and stopped supporting a bunch. If you want a 4k UHD capable drive today it’s hundreds and almost all discontinued

They’ll scale back data center investment. Not scale back user push

Man I want to switch so bad but there’s games that I can’t play on linux

Sounds like Plex/Jellyfin server but for gaming instead of movie streaming
