The same gamers that are spending their time complaining about GTAVI having no disc also helped it beat pre-sales records. Rock Star probably knew this would be the case (even if people complained about something they don’t really care about it) because as they report, 80-95% of the sales of GTAV over the last few years have been digital sales.

These days most game discs are as good as a game-key anyway as you can’t play the game before installing a massive day one patch.
